Facilities in the Academic Centre on the John Radcliffe Hospital site include two lecture theatres, two classrooms, a conference room, Tingewick Hall (a large multi-use space) and two large foyers (the Tingewick Foyer on the ground floor and the Entrance Foyer 3 one level up).

The centre is located on the John Radcliffe Hospital site. Parking is available in a number of areas around the hospital, with car park 2 or 2A being the closest to the centre.

2. George Pickering Education Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital

The GPEC hosts a lecture room, six seminar rooms, three meeting rooms, and an excellent cafe serving a variety of food and drink.

The George Pickering Education Centre is located on Level 3 of the John Radcliffe Hospital, opposite the main canteen. Turn right on exiting the staircase, through the set of double doors and the centre is on the right. The lecture room is situated immediately to the right on entering the centre, the seminar rooms are further into the centre and are numbered accordingly.

3. OXSTAR Simulation Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital

OxSTaR (Oxford Simulation, Teaching and Research) is the University of Oxford’s purpose built, state-of-the-art medical simulation teaching and research facility in the Nuffield Division of Anaesthetics at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Simulated learning scenarios provide invaluable opportunities to observe, develop and test how healthcare professionals work together and interact with their environment and equipment.

Entry is via the main hospital reception on level 2. Follow the signs for the League of Friends Cafeteria. Just past the cafeteria on the right hand side there is an exit route to the Trauma Unit. Take the escalator down. As you exit the building turn right. You will see the double doors ahead. There is an entry system to the left hand side of the door.

Parking on site is available in Car Parks 1-4 on the above map. All parking is pay and display, with a days parking costing £7. Please note parking spaces are very limited from mid-morning onwards, we recommend arriving in good time to avoid difficulty parking.
